Beverly Jeanne (Fairchild) Williams, 86, of Cozad passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Lexington Regional Health Center.
Bev was born on January 18, 1939 at home in Miller, Nebraska to Harold and Hazel (Sea) Fairchild. She was the youngest of seven children. She was raised in Darr, Nebraska and attended country school, eventually graduating with the Cozad High School Class of 1956.
On May 29, 1956 she married Terry Williams in Julesburg, Colorado and they had three daughters, Teri Lee, Vicki and Kim.
Terry and Bev built a life in Cozad where they worked and raised their girls. Bev spent many years working for the Cozad State Bank where she made several life-long friends.
Bev loved baking cookies and playing games, especially Bridge and Cribbage. You could always find her in attendance at any event involving her girls, grandkids, great grandkids and many other family members. She valued family over everything else.
Bev was a member of the Cozad Church of Christ, PEO, as well as a member of several bridge clubs.
Survivors include her daughters, Teri (Randy) Deans; Vicki (Pete) Andersen; and Kim (Tom) Swedburg; brother Conrad Fairchild; sister Cecile Ackerman and brother-in-law Alan (Lynette) Williams. She is survived by four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sweet little great granddaughter due to arrive in November and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry in 2007; her parents, 3 sisters, 1 brother, 3 sisters-in-law and 6 brothers-in-law.
Memorials are suggested to Cozad Church of Christ or the Cozad High School Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Services will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ with Pastor David Haynes officiating. Burial will follow at Cozad Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home.
