Biagio J. Evangelisto

Biagio J. Evangelisto, age 89, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026.

Beloved husband of the late Mary Susan Evangelisto. Devoted father of Mark (Carolyn) Evangelisto and Debora (Dave) Amalfitano, and stepfather to John III (Gail) Knott and Michael Knott. Proud grandfather of David J. Amalfitano and Mark Howk. He is also survived by his brothers: Anthony (Carol) Evangelisto, Frank (Nancy) Evangelisto, James J. Evangelisto, and was predeceased by his brother Gilbert J. (Barbara) Evangelisto.

Biagio was born in South Philadelphia and proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. He and his wife shared a love of travel, especially enjoying time spent in Saint Maarten and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Formerly of Clementon, New Jersey, Biagio worked as a phlebotomist and owned a laboratory. After selling his business, he continued to bring joy to others in his retirement by portraying Santa Claus during the holiday season for over 30 years at various malls throughout South Jersey.

Biagio spent the last five years of his life in a nursing home in Cape May County, New Jersey, following a stroke.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, April 3, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a service at 11:00 AM at DANKS-HINSKI FUNERAL HOME, 125 N. White Horse Pike, Lindenwold, New Jersey 08021. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Bailey Road, Yeadon, Pennsylvania.

Biagio will be remembered for his warmth, and the joy he brought to so many.
