Biljana Marinkovic

Our dearly beloved, Biljana Marinkovic, passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 73.
Biljana was born in Jabucje, Serbia on September 2, 1951, as the youngest daughter to Milijan(+) and Ljubinka (+) and dear sister to Snezana (+) and Ljiljana (+). She leaves behind her loving and adoring husband, Sinisa Marinkovic, and the marriage they cherished for over 52 years. Biljana was essential to the success of the family-owned business while also dedicating her care and attention to nurturing their family. Her pride and joy were her daughters whom she deeply loved, Natasha (Jovan) Peric and Snezana "Suzie" (Nebojsa) Stevanovic. As an adored and doting grandmother, her grandchildren, Darko and Milena Peric, and Marko and Nikola Stevanovic brought her the most joy.
Biljana's kind and generous heart will be dearly missed by all her family members, Kumovi, and friends in Serbia, Chicago and throughout the world. Biljana loved to garden, cook everyone's favorite meals, travel the world, and host her family and friends. She always had an open heart and an open door that welcomed everyone.
She will be remembered as a devoted parishioner of St. Stevan of Decani Serbian Orthodox Church and Kolo member of Srpski Sestara. Biljana's strong faith, her observance of traditions, and devotion to her church will continue to serve as an inspiration to her family and to all those who loved her.
The visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 10, 2025, from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Muzyka & Son Funeral Home, 5776 West Lawrence Avenue, Chicago, IL 60630.
Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service) will be on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Sveti Sava Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 32377 North Milwaukee Avenue, Libertyville, IL 60048.
After the opelo and interment, a Daca (Serbian Orthodox Memorial Luncheon) will be served at the New Gracanica Serbian Monastery Hall located at 35240 West Grant Avenue, Third Lake, IL 60046.
Naa voljena Biljana Marinkovi preminula je Januara 2, 2025, u 73 godini ivota.
Biljana je ro'ena u Jabucju, Srbija, Septembra 2, 1951, kao najmla'a erka Milijana (+) i Ljubinke (+) i voljena sestra Sneane (+) i Ljiljane (+). Iza sebe je ostavila voljenog i posveenog supruga, Siniu Marinkovia, sa kojim je provela vie od 52 godine u srenom braku. Biljana je bila kljuni deo porodinog poslovnog uspeha, dok je sa puno ljubavi i panje negovala svoju porodicu. Njena najvea radost bile su njene erke, koje je neizmerno volela: Natasha (Jovan) Peri i Sneana "Suzi" (Neboja) Stevanovi. Kao brina i voljena nana, najvie radosti donosili su joj njeni unuci: Darko i Milena Peri, kao i Marko i Nikola Stevanovi.
Biljanino dobro i velikoduno srce nedostajae svim lanovima njene porodice, kumovima i prijateljima u Srbiji, ikagu i irom sveta. Biljana je volela da se bavi batovanstvom, kuva omiljena jela za sve, putuje po svetu i ugosti svoju porodicu i prijatelje. Uvek je imala otvoreno srce i vrata za sve.
Ostae upamena kao posveena parohijanka crkve Svetog Stefana Deanskog i lanica Kola Srpskih Sestara. Njena snana vera, posveenost tradiciji i ljubav prema crkvi nastavie da budu inspiracija njenoj porodici i svima koji su je voleli.
Prijem za sauee odrae se u Petak, Januara 10, 2025, od 4:00 p.m. do 9:00 p.m., sa pomenom u 7:00 p.m., na lokaciji Muzyka & Son Funeral Home, 5776 West Lawrence Avenue, Chicago, IL 60630.
Opelo e biti odrano u Subotu, Januara 11, 2025, u 11:00 a.m. u manastiru Svetog Save, 32377 North Milwaukee Avenue, Libertyville, IL 60048.
Nakon opela i sahrane, daa e biti odrana u sali manastira Nova Graanica na adresi 35240 West Grant Avenue, Third Lake, IL 60046.
