William Howard “Bill” Bradshaw, Jr. was born on February 14, 1951 and passed away at the age of 73 at his residence in the Daniel Community on July 9, 2024. Bill worked at the Bay Springs Telephone Company for 44 years where he made many lifelong friends and met the love of his life of 25 years, Sharon Thornton. They met while working at the telephone company where they worked together for 22 years before he retired at the age of 65. They enjoyed traveling across the state and visiting historical homes and sites and spending time with their families. He never let a day go by without telling her how beautiful she was and how sweet her kisses were. Bill was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed working on his farm with his cows and riding his tractor. He loved hunting and fishing and basically anything that involved being outside. Bill is survived by the love of his life and fiancé, Sharon Thornton; his children, Jessica Herrod, Jason Bradshaw (Christina), Jenna Hatch, Rachelle Wilson, Donna Etheridge, and Shaun West (Andrea); and his 13 grandchildren, Carter and Troy Ramsey Herrod, Rachel Smith and Dawson Bradshaw, Addyson Hatch and Colston Hayman, Olivia, Lexi, and Ryan Etheridge, Adalyn and Marlee Wilson, and Kaitlynn and Kendall West; one sister, Janet Price (Luke); and a host of nieces and nephews. He loved them all dearly and enjoyed spending time with them making lasting memories. He was a great fiancé, father, friend, brother, son, uncle, and the best “Granddaddy” to them all. Bill is preceded in death by his father, William Howard “Tangle” Bradshaw, Sr., his mother, Jean Agnes Burnham Bradshaw, two brothers, Ronnie and Bob Bradshaw, and a sister, Jeannie Bradshaw. Visitation will be held at Wolfe Funeral Services on Thursday, July 11th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and at Rock Bluff Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 12th. The Service will be held at Rock Bluff Baptist Church on Friday, July 12th at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Chris Bradshaw, Kade Bradshaw, Justin Bradshaw, Steve Boone, Gary Purvis, and Ivy Bradshaw. Honorary pallbearers are Carter and Troy Herrod, Colston Hayman, and Dawson Bradshaw. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rock Bluff Baptist Church.
