Mr. Bill Carson of Newport departed this life on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the age of 47. He was born January 6, 1976, in West Helena, Arkansas the son of William Carson, Jr. and Cynthia (Trantham) Carson.
Bill was a 1994 graduate of Batesville High School. Following high school, he attended and graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in kinesiology. While at the U of A he played football for the Razorbacks from 1994 to 1997. Throughout his career Bill worked in warehousing and logistics.
He was a member of the Grace Memorial Episcopal Church in Hammond, Louisiana. Since living in Newport, he attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Bill married his high school sweetheart, Miss Charlotte Pham on July 19, 1997. Bill was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. His greatest love and joy in life was his wife and family and raising them in Louisiana. He especially enjoyed being "the best Pop's ever" to his grandsons he lovingly referred to as "his best buddies".
His canine companions were also dear to him. Butters and Cash have stayed behind but Hester is on a long walk with him now.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Carson, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Charlotte (Pham) Carson of Newport; one son, Justice Tyler "J.T." Carson and fiancé, Alexia Walker of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two daughters, Kayla Greenlie Carson Parker and husband, Aydan, of Hensley, and Peighton LeAnn Carson of Conway; two grandsons, Landon and Mason; his mother, Cynthia Trantham Talley of Jonesboro; one sister, Mandie Hall of Judsonia; one brother Caleb Carson of Batesville and his father in law and mother in law, Kim and Ut Pham of Newport.
In typical Bill fashion, there are no services planned, certainly no pomp and circumstance. A celebration of life will occur on his birthday, Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 11-2pm at Postmaster Spirts, 200 Hazel St, Newport, AR. All friends and family are welcome to drop in.
