Bill Hammer, 83, of Dumas, TX died on Thursday, October 7, 2021.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox.

Bill was born on June 10, 1938, in Cleveland County, OK to Sam and Mary Hammer. He had farmed most of his life.

He married Rosa L. Larance on January 11, 1973.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa L. Hammer on August 21, 1983; companion, Faye Parks on April 27, 2015; a brother, Sam Hammer Jr.; and a sister, Pearl Sams.

He is survived by a daughter, Connie Hammer of Dalhart; two sons, Donnie Hammer and wife Roxie of Fritch, and Clinton Hammer and wife Brandi of Sunray; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr Bill was the life of the party, I will never forget those Karaoke days. Boy the Cata walling was hilarious. the day he won a prize in Bingo, It was a lady's scarf boy he worn it proudly lol. Miss him much.

Mr. Bill was one of my favorite men that came to the Opportunities, Inc. Senior Citizen Center in Borger, Texas to play dominoes and eat lunch. He would always get into our candy bowl, which we had a thing about him eating the candy. He would rattle the bowl for me to say something. So sorry for your loss.
