Bill Lorenz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Thielen Funeral Home - MARINETTE on Dec. 30, 2025.
William "Bill" A. Lorenz, 86, of Peshtigo passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center – Bay Area surrounded by his family. Bill was born on October 17, 1939, to the late William C. and Flora (McFarlane) Lorenz in Marinette. He graduated the 1956 class of Marinette High School. Bill proudly served his country in the Army National Guard for many years and was called up during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He worked for Scott Paper retiring after 32 years. He later went back to work because he loved interacting with people, working at Hart's Lumber, The Store, and did a rural paper route for years. On March 27, 1992, Bill married Carmen Sue Bohling in Marinette. Bill was a member of the Crivitz Ski-Cats, the American Legion, and the Cat and Coyote Club. He loved hunting, fishing, boating, driving, and teaching kids to water-ski. The most important thing to Bill was family and time spent together.
Bill is survived by his wife of 33 years, Carmen Sue Lorenz; daughter, Lori (Craig Mellucci) Lorenz; sons, Zachary (friend, Jessica Heinze) Lorenz and Marty (Stephanie) Lorenz; step daughter, Carmen Dudka; step daughter in law, Suzanne Dudka; grandchildren: Lonnie Frehr, James Dudka, Miranda Dudka, Isabella Wendricks, Cooper Lorenz and Eleanor Lorenz; sister, Arlene Sebro; and brother, Donald (Charolotte) Lorenz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dan Lorenz; step son, Stan Dudka III; sister, Jean and brother in law, Jack Johnston; and brother in law, Eugene Sebero.
Per Bill's wishes, no services will be held. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
When tomorrow starts without me
And I'm not here to see
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me
I wish you wouldn't cry
The way you did today
While thinking of the many things
We didn't get to say
I know how much you love me
As much as I love you
Each time that you think of me
I know you'll miss me too
When tomorrow starts without me
Please try to understand
That an angel came and called my name
And took me by the hand
The angel said my place was ready
In Heaven far above
And That I would have to leave behind
All those I dearly love
But when I walked through Heaven's Gates
I felt so much at home
When GOD looked down and smiled at me
From his golden throne
He said This Is Eternity
And all I promised you
Today your life on earth is done
But here it starts a new
I promise no tomorrow
For today will always last
And since each day's the exact same way
There is no longing for the past
So when tomorrow starts without me
Do not think we're apart
For every time you think of me
Remember I'm right here in your heart.
