Bill Ratliff, age 81, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at Willard Mercy Hospital. He was born on June 12, 1943 in Knott County, KY to the late Hardrick and Iva (Hall) Ratliff. Bill was a member of Pleasant View Church. He retired from MTD in Shelby, and was a part-time custodian at Plymouth School. He played and loved music, especially Blue Grass. He enjoyed working on cars and he loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife, Debra (Slone) Ratliff, whom he married on December 12, 1981; their son, Nicholas (Brooke) Ratliff of Galloway, Ohio; grandchildren, Kencaide Ratliff and Makenlee Ratliff. From his first wife, he is survived by children, Melissa (Harold) Hamilton of Willard, Ohio; Theresa Newsome of Dayton, Ohio; and Terry Ratliff of Lexington, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Bonnie Middleton of Ashland, Kentucky; and Georgie Bradley of Marion, Ohio; and 2 brothers, Rick Ratliff and Jimmy Ratliff, both of Marion, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Jones; a son, Roger Ratliff; a sister, Sue Tomblin; and two brothers, Robie Ratliff and Randall Ratliff.
Visitation will be at Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 9:00 AM until the time of his service at 11:00 AM with the Elders of the Church officiating.
