In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, George T. Simmons and his wife, Bernice; Bernard R. Simmons and wife, Loretta; and Dennis B. Simmons and wife, Billie Sue; and sister, Norma Simmons Lee and husband, Robert Lee.
