Charles William Stauffer Jr., 89, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025, at his home in Howe, Idaho.
Bill, as he was known by his family and friends, was born on March 9, 1936, in Wendell, Idaho to William C. Stauffer and Lida Hill Stauffer. He spent his youth in Wendell where he attended schools, graduating from Jerome High School in 1954.
On October 3, 1955, he married his sweetheart, Patricia Zoe Amy. They made their home in Howe, Idaho where they raised their family and he farmed & ranched his entire life. Bill raised Quarter Horses and enjoyed racing them both on the flat track and chariot. He was a member and Deacon at the Little Lost River Bible Church, where he also served as superintendent and teacher.
Surviving is his wife, Pattie Stauffer; his son, Mark Stauffer; his daughter, Jackie (Todd) Echeverria; 5 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law, Lyn Stauffer; two brothers, Denny and Jim, two sisters, Barbara and Jeannie, and a nephew, Jeff Weigle.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Little Lost River Bible Church, 1514 Highway 33, Howe, ID. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Anderson Family Funeral Home, 2555 N. Highway 93, Arco, ID and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Howe Cemetery.
