Mr. Bill “Uncle Bill” Washington, Jr., age 80, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Ochsner Scott Regional in Morton, MS. His visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 3:30 PM until 7:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. His services will occur on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Christian Triumph M. B. Church in Morton, MS. His burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery in Morton, MS.
Mr. Bill “Uncle Bill” Washington, Jr., the son of the late Bill and Arlene Washington, was born on June 20, 1944, making him the firstborn of 12 children in the union.
Bill attended Bettye Mae Jack Middle School where he graduated. He then formed a lasting love with the late Billie Joyce Agee, and through their love they conceived 3 children and two bonus children whom he raised. He joined Christian Triumph MB Church at an early age, becoming a lifelong member and even serving as the Head Deacon until his death.
Bill served the city of Morton through many roles and occupations, retiring after 40 years, then becoming a part-time employee until his death. He was also a member of the New Home Masonic Lodge 261 of Morton, MS.
Unfortunately, he was proceeded in heavenly triumph by; lifelong love, and mother of his children, Billie Joyce Agee, of Morton, MS; seven siblings; Johnny, Herbert, and Jim Washington and Earnestine White of Morton, MS; Lettie Beemon of Forest, MS and Beatrice Washington of Jackson, MS. Along with a granddaughter, Tyundria Agee, one son, Edward “Tonna” Agee, and one special daughter, Marion King.
He leaves to cherish his memories 4 children; Kenwanna Washington, Kent Washington, Mario (Quita) Washington, and Preston (Ilene) T. Agee of Morton, MS; 5 siblings Ilene, Curtis, and Susan Washington, Nellie Deering and Mellie Anderson of Morton, MS; 2 special daughters; Jackee Agee and Gwendolyn Holland; a host of 21 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 32 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Keonte Lloyd, Jabbar Deering Joshua Deering, Jermaine Washington, KeVontae Earby, Marvin Washington, Steven Fricklin, and Christopher Washington.
Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Deering, Manuel Moore, Gerald Keeton, McKinley Kincaid, David Earby, Preston Agee, Curtis Washington, Martez Evans, and Booker T. Washington.
