Billie Jo Jones, 71, of Chester, passed peacefully at her home on Thursday, January 16, 2025, following a brief battle with cancer.
Billie was born in Chester on June 13, 1953, to the late Edwin and Nellie Knox Smith.
Billie's life revolved around her husband, Patrick, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; they were the light of her life. They are devastated by her loss after her brief illness; their lives will never be the same. Most of her life was spent caring for her family, but she had earlier worked at Modern Glass. She was a Nazarene by faith.
Her parents and her brother, Danny Smith, preceded her in death.
Billie leaves her husband of 49 years, Patrick Jones; her children, Jennifer Jones, Patty (Kevin) Nally, Cathy Jo (Scott) Anderson, Jonathon (Amanda) Jones, and Christopher (John) Jones; her grandchildren, Tre Beaumont, Jasmine Beaumont, Mackenzi Jones, Paige Beaumont, Rylee Curtis, Paxtan Jones, Maci Jones, and Ethan Jones; and great-grandchildren Ella and Ava Holt, who were so special to her. Three sisters, Hazel, Jackie, and Caroline, also survive.
Friends are welcome to join Billie's family at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Sunday, January 19, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. as they celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Billie's name to Valley Hospice @valleyhospice.org.
