Billie Arlene Thronburg-Kasinger, age 80, of Powell, Wyoming passed away peacefully Aug. 16, 2024.
Billie was born to Oren Delbert Hodson and Mabel Marie Coons on Sept. 24, 1943, in Powell, Wyoming. She was welcomed by her big brother Larry Hodson. Billie's mom passed away when Billie was 11. Her dad knew he could not properly care for her, so he took her to live with Robert Duane Loveland and Ella Mae (Hodson) Loveland. They welcomed her with open arms. Grandpa stated his family was now complete with daughters Judi, Billie and Bobbette.
Billie graduated from Powell High School in 1961. She met Duard Ray Thronburg about a year later, the love of her life as she always said. They wed Sept. 7, 1962. The two had a great life in Powell with their three children spending time with both families. Sadly, on Sept. 15, 1990, Duard passed away after a short battle with cancer.
Billie's son took her to a dance, where she and Dale Kasinger started dancing and talking. The two wed in Nov. 1992, where she gained two more children.
Throughout her life Billie explored many opportunities such as teaching aerobics/jazzercise, playing softball and coaching. She spent many years of being at home with her three children and her neighbors having their "coffee clutch" in the mornings after the kids were off to school.
Billie went to work at Parkside Elementary school as a teacher's aide. She always enjoyed playing the part of the clown at the kindergarten circus. She retired after 20 years.
Billie never knew a stranger.
She will be best remembered as someone that was easy to talk with, her walks, her Velveeta shells and cheese, reading and cheering on grandchildren in all of their sporting events (she was always the loudest).
Billie is survived by her sons Clint (Kelly) Thronburg and Clint (Dawn) Kasinger and her daughters, Gerri (Dane) Ackley, Michelle (Ron) Chouinard and Chris (David) Norris; her grandchildren Brook (Ben) Loyning, C.J. (Chelsea) Thronburg, Tiffany (Zach) Brando, Leslie (Reed) Hackworth, Levi (Ashley) Norris, Dalton Norris, Natalee Smith, Maranda Martinez, Jessica Kasinger, Terra (Shane) Dickerson, Jeremy Ackley-Burrs, RJ (Kasey) Chouinard, Kaycee (Andy) Dufresne, Shelbe (Bryce) Kelso and Kalib Chouinard; her great-grandchildren Wil, Sam, Gus and Josie Loyning, Cayden and Raegan Dickerson, Haddie, Walker and Calvin Hackworth, Parker Norris, Parker, Kayden, Payton and Kollin Chouinard, Addie, Brexleigh and Rhett Kelso, and lastly Violet Thronburg. Her sisters Judi (Carl) Spomer and Bobbette (Ray) Smith along with many nieces and nephews.
Billie was preceded in death by husbands Duard Thronburg and Dale Kasinger, her parents Oren and Mabel Hodson, her parents Bob and Ella Loveland and her brother Larry Hodson.
Billie will be greatly missed by her family. They will especially miss the birthday phone calls and her many stories.
Service will be Aug. 23 at 11 a.m. at the Hope Lutheran Church. Please wear blue, her favorite color.
