Billie Peterson

Billie Duane Peterson, 76, of Clinton, Utah, passed away peacefully at his home on September 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Billie was born in Ogden, Utah, to Billie Fred Peterson and Margaret Delores Stoker Peterson.

He grew up in some of the best places a kid could grow up in. Places such as Clinton, Riverdale, & Uintah. He grew up enjoying life, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. As he grew older he pursued his love for horses and began training race horses. He spent many years at the track and traveling around with his brothers and friends. He was in the Army Reserves for 5 years and was very proud of what he accomplished during his time in the Army. He worked for R&O construction for 35+ years and learned many talents.

Above all, Billie was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He faced a difficult battle with cancer with incredible strength, never once complaining, and always showing concern for others before himself. His resilience and selflessness are an enduring example to his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years Jodie Peterson; their son, Billie Jacob (Kylie) Peterson; and his grandson, proudly named after him, Billie Duane Peterson Jr. Brothers D Drew (Lisa) Peterson, Darren S (Julie) Peterson. Ilene Peterson with many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billie F Peterson and Margaret D Stoker Peterson, and his brothers, Dale S Peterson and Darwin D Peterson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 23, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Clinton 3rd ward chapel, 2223 N 1000 W. A visitation will be held for friends and family Monday evening at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W. from 6-8 p.m. and from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Interment to follow in the West Weber City Cemetery.
