Lindquist Mortuary - RoyPatrick J Mecham (Pat), proud father of two, and Papa of four, of Roy, UT unexpectedly left the life he loved on September 6, 2025.
He was born in Salt Lake City in 1961 to Weston Mecham and Ruth Galuppo (later divorced).
Pat married his soul mate Jody (Gale) in 1984. Together they had 2 wonderful children.
Pat attended schools in Salt Lake City area, Tooele, and Layton.
Pat worked in the construction field for many years. He took pride in many homes that he helped build and remodel. He drove dump truck for many years before he began working at HAFB, where he retired two years ago. Since retirement, he and his wife traveled to many National Parks and had lots of hunting and fishing trips. Pat had quite the sense of humor, and he loved to tell stories. He loved the mountains and outdoors and loved to share his love with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid fisherman, and hunter.
Pat loved to work with his hands and have projects. He took so much pride in the two remodels that he and his wife did on their home. He also built a large garage/workshop, where many things were fixed or created. He loved to create anything that was asked of him, from doll beds for his granddaughters, bird houses and benches. He could fix anything. His shirt “If Mecham can’t fix it, we are all screwed” is very applicable.
Pat loved his family deeply. He will be greatly missed by his children Tyson Mecham and Breanna Kendall, who married his bonus children Cassie Mecham and Kody Kendall. He was also the best papa to Kyree, Rebecca, Brylin and his best bud, Kanyon.
Pat was preceded in death by his father Weston Mecham, his mother Ruth Galuppo and his stepmother Muriel Mecham, and is survived by his stepfather, John Galuppo, father-in-law and mother-in-law Bud and Janet Gale, brother Lynn (Julie) Mecham, stepsister Jennae Sevvom, along with brother and sister in laws Byron (Melinda) Gale, Stephen (Jennifer) Gale, Craig Gale, Michelle Galeand many nieces and nephews.
Please join the family for Pat’s Celebration of Life on October 3, 2025, between the hours of 5:30 and 8:00, at Country Wedding and Events, 3051 S 5100 W, Hooper, UT. Please be sure to bring your favorite memories to share with the family.
