Billy Richard Sharp Jr. 55, went home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. at the home he shared with Kelli Long who was by his side faithfully.
He was born on July 25,1969, in Cellna, Ohio to the late Billy R. Sharp Sr. and Irene (Grubb) Sharp.
On July 04, 2004, Billy married the love of his life Kelll Long and she survives. On January 6, 2025, Billy accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior with Daniel E Long Jr. officiating,
Billy Is also survived by his only son Gage Thomas-Sharp, girlfriend Alltsa Terry and her daughter Kinsley Kelly. Billy also has 2 grandchildren he adored Aunalee Thomas and Brylan Thomas, Other survivors Include two sisters from Middlesboro, Ky, Tammy Mink and Lisa Withrow, which Billy was very close to. Billy had many nieces and nephews that he adored. Billy also had great friendships that he cherished with Tim Leach, Ronnie Waldroop and Justin Cromes.
He was preceded in death by his brother Donald Sharp and brother-in-law's Kenny Withrow and Melvin Mink.
Billy attended St Mary's Memorial High School. Billy's career was working with fiber optic cable, first working over 20 years for Ride Construction, and finished up his career working for McElhaney CCF Network Services, Once Billy returned to Sidney, he became acting President of Soul Sisters Janitorial LLC.
Billy enjoyed racing, working on cars, fishing, spending time with his family and most of all his beloved grandchildren,
During his brief Illness his little granddaughter Aunaiee was his very compassionate and devoted doctor, and she loved taking care of her papa.
In lieu of a memorial service Billy requested a celebration of life dinner which was held before his passing on February 8, 2025, at the Sidney American Legion Post 217, with over one hundred family members and friends In attendance with his friend Randy Reed officiating,
