Billie Carol Shaw, 77, of Lawrence, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Best Care West in Marshall, MI.
She was born April 1, 1947, in Portsmouth, Virginia, the daughter of Frank Jacobs and Mavis (Pyles) Jacobs.
On June 20, 1964, she married Ernest Owen Shaw who preceded her in death on March 11, 2021.
Billie graduated from Lawrence High School in 1965. She retired from DuoTang in Paw Paw and then went on to work for the Van Buren ISD, driving school buses for the Bert Goens Learning Center. Billie loved this job and made so many memories with the kids on her bus.
Billie loved to travel, and, like Johnny Cash, she really had "been everywhere!" She took numerous motorcycle trips with her late husband, Ernest. She was an avid bowler and travelled to many places with her "girls" and also enjoyed playing softball. Billie loved to have a good time cheering on her kids, grandkids or great-nephews in their sporting endeavors. She cherished her family, and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Jodi (John) Lubis; son, Frank (Lee) Shaw; grandchildren, Debbie (Josh) Stone, Monica Lubis, Aubrey Shaw and Matt Lubis; great-grandchildren, Allison, Grace, Ana and Josephine Stone; sisters, Barbara Hall and Brenda (Howard) Miley and many extended family members.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ernest and brother, John Jacobs.
