Billie H. Slusser, 77, of Topeka, passed away Friday, November 8, 2024.

She was born August 6, 1947, in Albany, Georgia, the daughter of William H. and Helen C. (Clark) Gore. She was a 1965 graduate of Topeka High School. 

Billie was employed by the Southwestern Bell Telephone in Topeka for 30 years before retiring. She later served as an administrative assistant for Shawnee Heights School District, retiring in 2002. 

Billie married Wallace Slusser on August 21, 1976, in Topeka. He preceded her in death on April 27, 2023. Survivors include her two sons, Micah (Angie) Slusser, Jordan (Rachel) Slusser; and grandchildren, Nolan Slusser, Noah Slusser, Tristan Scott, Cameron Slusser, Harper Slusser, Berkleigh Slusser. 

Billie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and taking pictures of them. 

Cremation is planned. A Celebration of life gathering will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Mount Hope Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th St, Topeka. Entombment of the cremated remains will be at Mount Hope Cemetery following the service. Penwell-Gabel Cremations, Funerals & Receptions in Topeka is assisting the family. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
