Sharon was born on August 31, 1942 in Frederick, OK to Marshall Derwood and Ruth Pauline (Brown) Glosup. Her life was a shining beacon of her unshakeable faith and love. Her formative years in Yankton, SD were filled with the sweet melodies of music, as she and her sister harmoniously sang on their father's live radio show. She had a love for her six siblings like no other.
She later relocated to Chattanooga, OK, where she met her soulmate, Gerald Lee Woods. Their 54-year marriage, which commenced on January 10, 1960, was a radiant exemplar of devotion and love. Sharon and Lee raised four beautiful daughters in a loving, Christian home, where music and faith were deeply ingrained, nurturing a legacy of love. She lovingly cultivated their musical talents, teaching them to sing in 4-part harmony and shared her own gift of beautiful singing and yodeling with all. As a pastor's wife, Sharon's love, kindness, and passion for Jesus inspired countless lives, touching hearts and souls along the way. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and the countless people she inspired with her love, prayers, and unwavering optimism. She loved to bake, eat chocolates, watch old movies, and share stories of her life. Sharon had an amazing memory and knew the exact date, time, and even the day of each story, even if 50 years ago! It was with certainty that a homemade sweet was always on the counter to be shared with all visitors. Though she will be deeply missed, Sharon's journey is now free from pain, and she walks alongside her beloved Lee on the streets of gold, basking in eternal joy and love.
