Billy Ray Abbott

Billy Ray Abbott, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Karen K. Abbott; cherished son of the late John L. Abbott and the late Martha L. Finley; devoted father of Denise L. Quidley; loving grandfather of William D. (Michelle) Quidley and Amy L. (Scott) Barriger; treasured great grandfather of Emily P. Beilsten and Nicole M. Shaw; dear brother of Betty Tocco, Pamela Johnkowski, the late Martha Spencer, the late Bobby Abbott, and the late Joe Abbott; loving uncle and friend.

Billy was a proud Korean War veteran who had the honor of participating in an Honor Flight, an experience he deeply appreciated. He was also an active and involved member of the Bridgeton Masonic Lodge. Billy loved traveling and going on adventures, and he was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and caretaker who was always busy piddling with projects around the house. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching classic westerns, and spending time at the casino with his beloved wife, Karen. Billy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Billy's name to Shriners Children’s Hospital.
