Billy was a good friend and my children called him Uncle Bill. He was an outstanding leader and instructor without knowing he was doing so simply by his actions. Godspeed Billy Apple.

I have never heard an unkind word about Captain Apple. He was highly respected by his Highway Patrol superiors, peers, and subordinates. Rest easy my friend, your toils here are over. My condolences to Nancy and family.

An A+ caliber man, Trooper, leader and American patriot. He was a symbol of a super hero to kids who grew up on the Southside of High Point during the 1970's. Much gratitude, respect and admiration for Captain Apple.
