Billy Dwayne Browning

On November 21, 2024, Billy Dwayne Browning passed away from this life at the age of 82. Born in McAlester, Oklahoma, Billy graced the world with his presence, alongside his identical twin brother Bobby, on November 9, 1942. Billy and Bobby were born to Willard L. Browning and Gertrude (Rooker) Browning, both of whom have preceded him in death, along with his sister, Shirley Browning. Bobby preceded Billy in death on May 16, 2009.
He leaves his wife, Joy Browning, to cherish his memory, along with his son, Bobby Browning, sister Deanna O'Neal, and brother Fred Browning.
Billy attended Midwest City High School. There, he was a manager for the high school football team, igniting a lifelong passion for football. He graduated in 1962. On April 2, 1971, Billy married Joy Lynn Tanner in Midwest City. They were blessed with their son, Bobby, and together Billy and Joy nurtured their family, imparting the virtues of kindness, perseverance, and unconditional love.
Professionally, Billy enjoyed nearly 20 years of success with his family owned and operated company, Browning Cleaning Service. He enjoyed collecting Elvis records and memorabilia, listening to music – he even had his own jukebox at home – and more than anything, loved watching OU football. Though there were a multitude of things that made him happy, nothing brought him more joy than spending time with the people he loved. Billy was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it, a testament to his generosity. As we say our goodbyes, let us honor his memory by carrying on his legacy of love. Billy will be dearly missed.
