Billy “Willy Billy” Calhoun, age 90, of Sulphur Springs, Texas passed away on October 19, 2025 at Christus Mother Frances – Sulphur Springs.
Billy was born on August 17, 1935 in Greenville, Texas to Tim V. and Deley (McCann) Calhoun. He married Marilyn Files in California in 1974. Billy was a truck driver most of his life, although he was a man of many talents. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He loved riding mules, training horses, hunting and fishing. Billy was a member of the Central Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Janet Lynn Strawn; grandchildren, Meagan Strawn, Heather Strawn, and Barney “Coy” Strawn; great granddaughters, Jayce and Kynsleigh; numerous nieces and nephews.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marilyn; brothers, Buford Ray Calhoun, Otis Clem Calhoun, and Elvie Ray Calhoun; sisters, Christine Pickrell and Wanda Hartley.
