Billy Davis Obituary

Born November 11, 1934, in Sumter, he was a son of the late J. Lynwood Davis and the late Frances Jones Davis. He was a member of Graham Baptist Church and was a retired farmer.
Survivors in addition to his wife of 63 years include a son, Billy L. Davis, Jr. (Ann); an honorary grandson, Nathan Downer (Carley), great granddaughter; Shirley Holland Downer; and a sister, Lynda Burress (Robert).
He was preceded in death by a brother, James M. Davis.
A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Friday at Graham Baptist Church with Rev. John Patrick officiating. Burial will be in the Davis Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Billy Downer, Tommy Lee, David Fleming, C.W. Brunson, W.T. Brogdon, and Chad Jones.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Davis, Jeff Davis, David Felder, and Leon Tobias.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or to Graham Baptist Church, 4000 Highway 521 South, Sumter, SC 29153.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
