It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Billy Joe Dumatrait, who left us on March 28, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on January 28, 1937, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Billy lived a full and vibrant life, spending his later years in Ragley, Louisiana.
Billy spent his career as an office manager in the industrial sector, where he was known for his hard work and dedication. His friendly demeanor and warm spirit made him a friend to many.
While we grieve the loss of Billy, we also celebrate the joy and laughter he brought into our lives. He will always be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, and the countless stories he shared with family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Sue Dumatrait, his two loving daughters; Jennifer Karschnik (Chris), Jayme Soileau (Chad), 6 grandkids; Kaleb Smith, Khloey Dumatrait, Courtney Karschnik, Alexis Soileau, Ayden Soileau, Avery Soileau, and sister; Kathy McManus.
Billy will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
The family has entrusted cremation arrangements to Johnson Funeral Home.
