Billy "Bill" George Harper Sr. passed away on August 28, 2025. Bill was born on November 5, 1939 to Virginia Harper (nee King), and Raymond Harper in Harlingen, Texas. He was the youngest of five children. After high school, Bill served his country faithfully in the United States Marine Corps. Bill married Maggie Adams in 1960. Together they had Billy Harper Jr. (Joanne) in 1961. Maggie passed away from cancer in 1992 after over 30 years of marriage.

In 1995, Bill married Louise Estes. They had many happy years together till Louise passed away in 2018. From this union, Bill gained three step-children, Donna Stothfang, Rick Estes (Gail), and Cathy Hammond (Doug) as well as grandchildren Jessica Johnson, Alex Stothfang (Rachael), Elizabeth Herrin (Nicklas), Jeff Estes (Maria), Julie McLaren (Jim), and Sammy Hammond. Later they were blessed with great-grandchildren Abigail Johnson, Lillian Johnson, Ana Stothfang, Robert Herrin, Andrew Herrin, Lorelei Schulte, Billy Schulte, Colin Estes, Laila McLaren, and Thomas McLaren. Bill loved his step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as his very own. In 2020, Bill married again to Kathy Hutchens, unfortunately she passed away suddenly less than a year after their wedding. From this union, he was blessed with another step-daughter, Lora Stultz.

Dancing, especially ballroom and country western, was one of Bill's passions. He danced many times per week. Bill also started his own successful drafting business called Harper Steel. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Bill had a great love for his country and was a very patriotic American.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Raymond and Johnny, sister, Charlotte, son-in-law, Kenneth Stothfang, and great-grandson Matthew Johnson.

Bill is survived by his sister, Mary, loving fiancee, Diane Allen, as well as his son, step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss him dearly. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tunnel to Towers.
