Billy B. Kise, 80, of Louisa, Kentucky, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on April 22, 2025.
Born on September 20, 1944, in Louisa, Kentucky, Billy was the beloved son of the late Charles and Cora (Chapman) Kise. A man of deep integrity, warmth, and quiet strength, Billy lived a life defined by hard work, service, and love for his family.
Billy spent much of his working life in construction, applying his skill and dedication at Harding Paving and later Dorsey Paving, before retiring in 1991. He took pride in his craft and the connections he made through his work. Billy was also a former member of Moose Lodge #1883, reflecting his appreciation for fellowship and community involvement.
In his later years, Billy returned to his hometown of Louisa, where he found peace in its familiar surroundings. He cherished the simple joys of life-spending time outdoors, sharing stories, and being with those he loved.
He loved spending time in his garage, tinkering and fixing, always with a sense of purpose and satisfaction. His garden was another cherished space-where he nurtured life, found peace, and enjoyed the fruits of his labor. These quiet passions spoke to the heart of a man who found meaning in hard work and tranquility in nature.
Billy is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara (Mathes) Kise; his children, Kathy Doyle (Mike Doyle), Debra Robbins (Mike Robbins) and William Kise (Kim Kise); six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Kathy West and Raymond Kise.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Hazel Cooper, Donald Kise, Bob Kise, and Gene Kise.
