Billy Wayne Lindsey

Billy Wayne Lindsey, 71, of Fulton, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025. He was born on January 15, 1954, in Baldwyn to the late Bruce and Virginia Bryan Lindsey.

Billy was a graduate of Mooreville High School, class of 1974, and continued his education at Itawamba Community College. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps before beginning his career in the trucking industry, most recently with Bud Coley Trucking in Tupelo.

He married the mother of his children, Cathy Lindsey, on June 15, 1973. He shared his life with her until her passing in 2005. He went on to marry Shelia Lindsey on November 30, 2013, whom he has spent the remainder of his life with.

Billy is survived by his children, Catina Lindsey Bowden (Bill) of Saltillo, Chrystal Carter (Jess) of Saltillo, and Bobby Lindsey of Tupelo; grandchildren, Christopher Welch, Jonathon Welch, Matthew Lindsey, Hadley Carter, and Harlow Carter; siblings, Peggy Wallace (Gerald) of Fulton and Carol Dickey (Horace) of Mantachie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Virginia Lindsey; wife, Cathy Lindsey; son, Billy Lindsey, Jr.; siblings, Milton Lindsey, Betty Henson, and Bonnie Villalobos.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Pegues, Saltillo.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Saltillo Chapel of Pegues with Bro. Rickey Hester officiating.

Honorary pallbearers are Michael Lindsey, Bill Bowden, Christopher Welch, Jonathon Welch, and Matthew Lindsey.
