UPCOMING SERVICE
Billy Neff Obituary
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Candace Fowler officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service.
Full military honors will be presented by the United States Army and Sedalia VFW Post #2591. In addition, the Sedalia 40&8 Voiture 333 will conduct a memorial tribute in his honor, with support from the Patriot Guard Riders. He will be laid to rest at the VA Cemetery in Higginsville, MO at a later time.
Billy is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Merk Neff; sons William (Amy) Neff, Dr. Jody Neff (Heidi), Kenny Neff (Julia); step-son, Tony Merk (Debra); step-daughter, Tina Merk Hart (Brady) and was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Billy was preceded in death by his father Charles E. Neff; mother, Irma I. Hoehns Neff; stepmother Ada Neff; brother CD Neff; first wife Nellie Bauer; and second wife Judy Barnard.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributes to the Wounded Warriors Project in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
