Billy Larue Sneed, 77, of La Grange, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
He was born on December 14, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his father, LaRue Sneed and daughter, Bobbie Jo Sneed.
Billy was raised by his single father, Larue, with the help of his Aunt Lanie. Billy grew up with cousins who were more like siblings to him.
He served as a Marine during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1970. He retired from Brown & Williams in 1982. Later worked construction for many years framing houses, and then as a security guard at Rawlings before fully retiring.
Dad loved to fish, read, watch movies, NASCAR races, and to play video games - but most of all he loved to laugh and to make people laugh.
Billy is survived by his loving daughters, Susan Lynn Driver (Allen), Rebecca Danielle Sneed, nine grandchildren, Josh (Kristie), Corey (Brooke), Miranda, Maddie, Brad (Mariah), Will, Dallas (Johnny), Nikki and Jessey. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Addie, Maize, Everett, Rhett, Barren, Declan and McKenna.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 pm on Monday, September 29, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243).
The family requests that contributions in Billy’s memory be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
