Billy Sweatman, age 75, of Cumming, Ga passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. A lifelong resident of Forsyth County. He was best known by: Papa, Daddy, Uncle Billy/Bill and Billy-Jack. The son of the late JT and Mildred Sweatman. Billy was a mechanic by trade as well as a wonderful carpenter. He knew how to do it all! A loving father and grandfather, a true friend and hard worker. He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Sandra. He and Sandra raised two wonderful boys and always had an open door for anyone that needed a safe place to stay. As a teenager, he worked at several auto repair shops, including Bagwell-Mathis Tire, and retired from Alpha North Auto & Truck Service. Billy was a man’s man, he loved tinkering on all sorts of vehicles, playing horseshoes, and of course having a cold beer and a cigar. He is survived by his children, Thomas (Stacie) Sweatman, Jonathan (Bri) Sweatman; brother, Emory Sweatman, sisters-in-law Barbara Cooper, Karon Mann, Linda Mann, Mattie Mann and brothers-in-law Ricky (Lyndell) Mann, John McKinzie; grandchildren, Spencer, Mason, Holley, J.T., Camden, Addison, Maci, Connor-Neal, EmmaKay; a host of loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives, friends and Chico, his one-eyed chihuahua.

Funeral services will be held March 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Dyer officiating. The interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM, and again on March 31, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service. Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
