Billy Ray Treadway Sr.

Billy Ray Treadway Sr., 81, of Lexington KY passed away on March 18, 2023. Billy was born on March 30, 1941, in Heidelberg KY to the late Lawrence Treadway and Lucille Frisby. Billy worked at Georgia Pacific for 44 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and music. He especially loved country and bluegrass and was an honorary member of the Big River Band. Billy was a very compassionate and caring man who loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Aside from his parents, Billy is preceded in death by his aunt and uncle who raised him, Earle and Gladys Angel; his brothers Bobby Treadway and Jerry Treadway; his sister Patricia Treadway; his daughter-in-law Judy Treadway; and his great granddaughter Miracle Joy Schweitzer. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Trudy Treadway; his brothers, Larry Joe Treadway and Freddy Treadway; his sons, Billy Ray Treadway Jr. (Karen) and Kevin Treadway (Dawn); his daughter, Robyn Peel; his grandchildren, Blake Treadway, Hannah Schweitzer, Lauren Peel, and Logan Peel; and six great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at Kerr Brothers on Main Street on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 12 PM. Visitation will be before the service from 10 to 12. Burial will follow at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens in Nicholasville, KY. Pallbearers will be Billy Treadway Jr., Kevin Treadway, Blake Treadway, Logan Peel, Jay Johnson, and Chuck Jennette. Honorary pallbearers will be Ian Schweitzer and Marc Moore.
