Billy Mack Wilcox, 65 years old, of Old Fort, TN in Polk County, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025 at his home. Billy loved children which showed in the love and support he gave his several stepchildren, niece, nephews, grandchildren, and even children of his friends. The greatest joy in his life was being called Papaw by Jakari and Emerson.
Survived by his wife of 15 years Paula Wilcox, siblings, Frankie (Pam) Wilcoxon, Robert (Teri) Wilcox, Ronald (Annette) Wilcoxon, and Melissa (William) George. Stepchildren Heather Smith, Andrew (Jessica) Smith, John Sammantha) Smith, Taylor (Brandon) Buckner, Casey Lynn, Samantha (Jay) Matsler, Penny Nelson, Robbie (Mary Dawn) Newberry, Tina Owens Maples, and a bonus son, Matthew (Bailey) Rogers (Brooks and Sage), 4 nephews and a niece, a host of extended family, and special friends. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Clinton Max Wilcoxon, and Garnet Sue Rimes Wilcoxon.
Billy enjoyed life with a sense of humor. He was known for his loyalty to friends and his love of making a deal.
Billy didn't want any fanfare at his passing, therefore, there will be no formal funeral services. There will be a celebration of Billy's life at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Billy's name to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
