Bjorg Walstrom Guasti

Bjorg Walstrom Guasti, 86 years old, passed peacefully in her sleep in the late hours of the evening on October 10th, 2022. It was the day after a beautiful prayer session surrounded by friends and family worldwide, who were able to tell her how much she impacted their lives.
After fighting cancer for 7 years, she was at home hospice, where her two daughters Marina & Camilla, son in law Charles, granddaughter Amanda, and family friend Carla were by her side as she took her last breaths. Her last months were of gratefulness and spiritual bliss.
Bjorg was born on July 9th, 1936 in Norway as 1 of 3 siblings to Karen and Karl Walstrom. She lived through the German occupation of Norway, moved away from home at 15 onto a farm where she started her love of horses, moved to France and Switzerland and then at 21 she took a ship across the Atlantic Ocean to start a new life in Brazil, where she met the love of her life, Piero Guasti. Together they started this family and lived a prosperous life for about 60 years until they moved to the United States to live out the rest of their lives with Camilla's family in Georgia.
Bjorg had 3 children, Marina, Fillipo, and Camilla. Bjorg's legacy lives on through them and her 3 grandchildren, Amanda, Karen and Lucas. Bjorg was a ray of light in every situation she was in. Everyone who ever met her could feel that she was a kindred spirit.
She could light up any room with a smile and no matter how grim the situation, she always kept her head high. Through countless cancer treatments and hardships, Bjorg could always find the beauty in all situations, to know her was to love her.
The tale of her life was enchanting and educational and those lucky enough to hear it were always in awe of her accomplishments.
Though she is gone from our world she in not gone from our hearts and will live on as the light that she brought to those around her.
