Jeffrey Donald Pirkle, age 61, of Cumming, Georgia passed away on Saturday, September 6th, 2025 surrounded by family after an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Forsyth County and one of three children born to Mary and Donald Pirkle.
Jeff was truly one of a kind. He was somehow a man of few words and also the first one to crack a joke. He didn’t always have an easy life but he always had family and friends that loved him. He was the type of person that if you hadn’t seen him in a while, he’d send you a random text checking on you and letting you know he was there. He enjoyed trips to Gatlinburg, Daytona and loved watching nature History Channel documentaries. He was fairly quiet but if you were lucky enough to know him, you’d know that he was sweet, tender hearted and hilarious, even if he didn’t always mean to be. Jeff was proceeded in death by his loving mother, Mary Frances Pirkle, his sister Pamela Roland, and his brother-in-law, Terry Roland. He is survived by his father, Donald Pirkle; his sister, Tammi Vaughn (Drew); nieces and nephews, Caylee Roland, Ethan Roland, Levi Roland (Jessi), Macie Martin (Logan), Thomas Roland (Anni), Kelly Dalton, Dacota Tinsley (Samantha), Mary Grace Cagle (Jake), Pamela Marie Vaughn; and great nephew, Sawyer Martin.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 10, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Rickett, Rev. Gary Coffey, Rev. Stephen Davis, Rev. Harold Bottoms and Rev. Danny Gerrard officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.
