Blanche V Boyce

THORNTON --- Blanche Vinnie Boyce (Piper), 97, a lifelong resident of Thornton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

Blanche was the oldest of four children born in Campton, NH, where she lived with her parents Charles M. Piper, Sr., Blanche (Avery) Piper and siblings, Charles Piper, Jr., Ethel (Piper) Hobart, and Arthur Piper.

Floyd E. Boyce and Blanche were married September 13, 1945, after Floyd's service in the Army. They were married 59 years until Floyd's passing in 2004. They resided in Thornton their entire married life raising five children Ronald, Cheryl, Kevin, Charles, and Mark.

Blanche was primarily a homemaker. She worked at various businesses throughout her married life: J.J. Newberry's in Plymouth, DeCory's Stitching on Main St. in Campton, The Thornton Farm Kitchen, Plymouth Manufacturing, and retired from O. D. Silkscreen in Woodstock.

Blanche loved to cook for her family. She especially enjoyed baking. Sharing the treats with family, friends, neighbors and co-workers was part of her joy. She was best known for her homemade doughnuts which she made for her family weekly with Floyd assisting.

Blanche was also a great jokester. She loved to "needle" her friends, always chuckling, she enjoyed receiving the "backlash" more than the "dishing out".

Blanche is predeceased by her husband, Floyd (2004), her youngest son, Mark (1991), her parents, Charles, Sr. and Blanche Piper, and two brothers, Charles Piper, Jr., and Arthur Piper.

Blanche is survived by her sister, Ethel Hobart of Washington, Utah; son, Ronald Boyce and wife Rosella of Plymouth; daughter, Cheryl (Boyce) Johnson and husband Ron of Thornton; son, Kevin Boyce and wife Brenda of Thornton; son, Charles Boyce of Plymouth; Two sisters-in-law, Lillian Piper of Bridgewater and Julie (Leblanc) Piper of Campton; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Blanche requested a graveside service at her resting place beside her beloved husband at Pine Grove Cemetery in Thornton. Services to be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave, 17th Floor, Chicago, IL 60601.
