Born on April 24,1924 in Anderson, SC to the late Clarence and Melissa Eden Barr. Blanche attended Welcome Baptist Church and was active in the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class and the Widows Club. She loved the Lord, and her favorite scriptures were found in Isaiah.
Family and friends enjoyed her delicious Southern cooking. Blanche’s favorite thing to do was spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the epitome of a Southern lady with her style and fashion sense.
Blanche is survived by a daughter, Donna Landreth; son, Ronnie Pelfrey; four grandchildren, Jennifer Brown (Mike), Deana Menegay (Joel), David Pelfrey (Sara) and Josh Landreth (Erin); eleven great- grandchildren, David, Jacob, Justin, Jaden, Colin, Lydia, Cooper, Evie, Parker, Molly and Andrea and two great-great grandchildren, Vash and Rin.
In addition to her beloved husband of 55 years until his passing, she is preceded in death by five sisters, Louree Bridges, Inez Nicholson, Josie Wauchope, Martha Young and Ruth Snyder and brothers, Paul and Wallace Barr.
The family will be receiving friends on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM at Robinson Funeral Home- Powdersville Road. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Reflections Mausoleum of Robinson Memorial Gardens.
She has left behind a legacy of great strength; most importantly, faith that we must all hold onto, its the only way your spirit will grow.
Flowers will be accepted, or a donation may be made to the charity of one’s choice in Blanche’s honor.
The family would like to thank Beckie, Regina and Patti for being such caring and loving caregivers and Interim Hospice for their kindness.
