Robert "Bob" Lee Schick, a longtime resident of Menominee, Michigan, died
peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, following a life punctuated by
titles, including "manager" at Menominee's Holiday Lanes and Hi-Low Bar,
"member" of the Marinette Twi-Cees, "football fan" of the Green Bay Packers and
Wisconsin Badgers and Owner of Schick Enterprises who brought Taco Bell to
the Upper Peninsula. To those who loved Bob, he is remembered by other
cherished titles: "father," "grandfather," "uncle," "partner" and "friend."
Bob was born in Greeley, Colorado on February 6, 1953, to the late Lawrence
and Elenore (Schilling) Schick. He graduated from Greeley Central High School
in 1971 before obtaining a degree in business from Northern Colorado University
in 1975. He loved to golf, boat, bowl, and cheer on his favorite sports teams.
Bob is survived by his son Jason (Kaitlan) Schick of De Pere, Wisconsin;
daughter Jody (Ryan) Gallant of Egg Harbor, Wisconsin; six grandchildren
Megan, Parker, Isla, Scarlett, Vivienne and Graham, and long-time partner Susan
Johnson, and half-sister Debra Schick. He was preceded in death by his parents
and half-brother Bill Schick.
A public visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette, Wisconsin
on Monday, June 30th from 1-4pm. In lieu of flowers, the public is encouraged to make a
donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Menominee.
