Barbara "Bobbie" Joyce Carl, 86, of Richmond, went to be with her savior on Thursday, March 28, 2024. She was born March 4, 1938, in Detroit, MI, to the late Donald and Edith (nee Huff) McCabe. Bobbie married William Carl and spent 57 loving years until his passing in 2021.
Bobbie worked as an elevator operator at the Lafayette Building in Detroit. She enjoyed camping and trips up north. She has always been a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers. Bobbie loved playing Bingo and cards. She was very proud of her Irish heritage. Bobbie was a cancer survivor as she battled and overcame breast cancer.
Bobbie is survived by her children, Douglas (Mary) Carl, James Carl, Kathleen (Rob) Sheets; two granddaughters, Ashley Navalta and Alexis (Matthew) Wegner; sister, Alice Woodward, as well as many friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband William; daughter, Barbie; a son, Don and sister, Shirley Riley.
The family honors the memory of Bobbie and invites you to visit and share memories Monday, April 8, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond, with funeral services to follow at 12:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to a memorial gathering at Strikers Entertainment after services at 2:00 p.m.
Memorials can be made to "Wishes of the Family".
