Bobbie Lois Scott Coon, age 93 of McColl, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, after an extended illness.

Bobbie was born January 20, 1932, in Marlboro County. She was a daughter of the late Albert T. Scott, Sr. and Josephine Jones Scott. Bobbie was a longtime member of Eastside Baptist Church. She worked as a gift wrapper at BC Moore for a time. Bobbie spent most of her life as a homemaker. She cherished her time spent with her family. Bobbie will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

In addition to her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband retired SFC James Darrell Coon; brothers and sister in law, Buck Scott, Jr and wife JoAnn, Jackie Scott and wife Pat; a sister and brother in law, Virginia Perdue and husband Robert; a sister, Maxine McElveen; grandsons, Phillip Taylor and Jason Stephen Bundy; step daughter, Deborah Taylor; sons in law, Dennis Rivenbark and Tommy Sweatt.

Bobbie is survived by her children, James Steven Livingston (Cindy), Connie Lynn Coon Sweatt, Jenny Denise Coon Rivenbark, all of McColl, and Debra Lois Livingston Lear (Mike) of Bennettsville; ten grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends that she loved dearly.

A funeral service will be on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Eastside Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service in Rogers Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. at the church.
