Wilma Frances Atkinson Ray, age 57 of McColl, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at her residence.

Wilma was born March 31, 1968, in Bennettsville. She was a daughter of the late William and Dorothy Jane Stubbs Atkinson. Wilma worked for many years at the yarn mill in McColl. She enjoyed shopping and going to church. Wilma was a member of Clio Church of God. She enjoyed worshiping and fellowship with her church family. Wilma also cherished spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by aunts, Ruby Herring and Alice Stubbs; and a special friend, Billie Jean Ray.

Wilma is survived by her son, Anthony Ray, Jr. (Stevie Lord); a daughter, Billie Jane Ray Dixon (Jamie); grandchildren, Mason Dixon, Hayden Walker Ray, Neveah Ard, Allison English, and Brantley Lord; a special cousin and caretaker, Arnold Hammonds; several other extended family members.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the Clio Church of God. Burial will follow the service in Rogers Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held at Clio Church of God on Thursday, October 2, 2025, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 P.M.
