It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bobbie J. Lightfoot, who departed this life on July 22, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on September 16, 1932, in Valera, Texas, Bobbie lived a life filled with warmth, compassion, and resilience. She will be deeply missed by her family and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A dedicated waitress, Bobbie spent many years in the restaurant industry, where her friendly smile and caring nature made a lasting impact on both coworkers and customers alike. Then in 1991 became co-owner of H&B Trucking Her ability to connect with people from all walks of life made her a beloved figure in her community in Lubbock, Texas, where she resided.
Bobbie is survived by her loving children: Denila Buechler, LeeAnn McClanahan; Sons-in-law Mark and Don, daughters-in-law; Margaret, Rosa and Martha. Each of her children carries a piece of her spirit, and her legacy will endure in the hearts of all who loved her.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lightfoot; Sons, Wayne Williams, Dean Burfield and Glenn Lightfoot; Father, Cecil Bledsoe; Mother, Ruie Bledsoe; Brother, James Bledsoe.
Visitation will take place on July 25, 2025, at Sanders Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 PM, providing family and friends an opportunity to come together and share memories. A funeral service will be held at Sanders Memorial Chapel on July 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM with Chaplain Al Wise officiating, honoring Bobbie's life and the love she brought into this world.
Following the service, she will be privately laid to rest at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
In this time of sorrow, let us celebrate the life of Bobbie J. Lightfoot, whose kindness and love will remain etched in our hearts forever.
