Bobbie Dill Poole, 96, formerly of Chester and wife of the late Fletcher Boyd Poole, Jr. passed away Monday, April 29, 2024, at Martha Franks Retirement Community in Laurens.
Born in Lancaster, SC she was the daughter of the late William F. and Ada Roberts Dill. A retired medical technologist, Bobbie was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Chester, where she found great joy in her church family and serving on various committees. In her retirement years, she cherished her time at Martha Franks Retirement Community which she considered family. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her children, Kathryn Poole Hardy (Tom) of Laurens; grandchildren, Thomas K. "Kirk" Hardy, Jr. of Greenville and Jena Hardy Baxter (Duane) of Greer; grandchildren, Thomas Kirkland Hardy, III., Ella Kate Hardy, Kathryn Madison Baxter, and Bryce Lanson Baxter; and beloved nieces and nephew.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Ronald Boyd Poole.
Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Monday, May 6, 2024, at Chester Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Rick Wheeler. The family will greet friends at the cemetery immediately following the graveside service.
The family will be at their respective homes.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 651 Great Falls Hwy., Chester, SC 29706 or to Martha Franks Retirement Community, 1 Martha Franks Drive, Laurens, SC 29360.
The family would like to thank Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Community for their loving care of Mrs. Poole.
