Bobbie Lewis Slaughter, 88, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at his residence with his family by his side.
Born August 21, 1934 in Ingram Branch, WV he was the son of the late Charles Hess Slaughter and Ethel Mandy Hunt Cales.
Bobbie was a proud United States Navy Veteran, he was a hydraulic mechanic while working in the coal mines, and was a member of the Gatewood Baptist Church. In his leisure Bobbie enjoyed writing Christian music, singing and dancing.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Deloris McVey Slaughter; and 3 children, Bobbie Slaughter, Jr., Larry Slaughter, and Panella McComas; and 3 brothers, Forest Slaughter, Eddie Slaughter, and Dwayne Slaughter.
Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his wife, Rose Holtsclaw Slaughter, daughter, Kim Davis; 4 grandchildren, Winter, Alyson, Becca, and Kyle; and 7 great grandchildren.
Graveside rites with burial to follow will be 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill with Pastor Harry Fuller officiating.
