Mark Edward Thompson, 70, of Oak Hill passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at his residence with his loving family by his side.
Born September 22, 1955, in Oak Hill he was the son of the late Herbert and Mary Couse Thompson.
Mark worked as a welder and in his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing with his friends Archie and Bub, being out in the water on his boat, and making wine. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandson.
Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn and Margaret; and his brother, Andrew.
Those left to cherish his wonderful and loving memory include his loving wife, Angela Skaggs Thompson; daughters, Saundra Smith (Ralph) and Kaitlyn Thompson; sons, Michael Thompson (Betty), Mitchell Thompson (Karrie), and Bobbie Skaggs; grandchildren, Jocelyn Smith, Nathaniel Smith, Chance Smith, Ryder Smith, Geneva Thorne, Peyton Thompson, Lilly Thompson, and Sara Hughes; great grandson, Brendan Hughes; sister, Jean Ann; and brother, Herbert Thompson.
In keeping with Mr. Thompson's wishes he will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
