Bobbie Span Obituary
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at First Assembly of God Church, 524 S. Monroe Street, Tucumcari, NM and a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Bryan Phillips officiating. Burial to follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park, 4161 Cemetery Road, Tucumcari, NM.
Bobbie was born on June 3, 1938, in Helena, AR to Ashley Larry and Charlene Francis. She enjoyed crocheting and going to church. She was Mother of New Light Baptist Church in Farwell, TX. She loved to spend time with her family and singing gospel music.
Survivors include her sisters; Charlene Mills of Sherman, TX, Joann Coats (Douglas) of Dallas, TX, Callie Rose McDowell of Lubbock, TX, Evelyn Townsend, Forrestine Dandridge both of Memphis, TN, Loretha, Penny Larry of Pheonix, AZ, brothers; Melvin Larry of Atlanta, GA, Lewis Samuel Williams of Memphis, TN, and Tyrone Whiting of Waxahachie, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Ashley Larry, and Charlene Francis, brothers; Clyde Clark, Edward Earl Clark, Ashley Larry and sisters; Clydie Mae Gorman, and Gloria Larry, daughter; Bettie Jean Edward, son; Roy Lee, and grandsons; Johnny Lee Span and Eric Roddy, one great granddaughter; Reina Alvarado-Montoya.
