Bobby Edwin Alexander, 92, of Montgomery, Texas and former longtime resident of Port Neches, Texas passed away on August 3, 2024, in Conroe, Texas. He was born on August15, 1931, in Angelina County. Bobby leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and commitment.
Bobby graduated from Port Neches Groves High School in 1949 and later earned his BBA from Sam Houston State University in 1952. He was a resident of Port Neches for seventy-five years prior to moving to Montgomery and was active in the community and church organizations. Bobby worked at Ameripol-Synpol - Michelin, for thirty-nine years until his retirement in1994.
In addition to his professional achievements, Bobby proudly served in the United States Army and Army Reserves.
Bobby's proudest accomplishment was his family, whom he cherished above all else. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Jan Alexander; his children, John Alexander and wife Charlotte; Carol Germann and husband Kenny; and Stacy Keith and husband Mark. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Kelly Clements and husband James; Cliff Germann and wife Kimberly; Andrew Alexander and wife Lindsey; Casey Alexander and fiancé Matt Bewley; Eli Keith, and Josie Keith. Bobby also leaves behind great-grandchildren, Jaylee Clements, Aubree Germann, Charlie Clements, Luke Germann, JD Alexander, and Gracelyn Germann; and a sister, Vevey Alexander.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, A.O. and Mildred Alexander.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. The funeral service will take place on August 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at First Methodist Church - Port Neches located at 1826 Nall St., Port Neches. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Methodist Church of Port Neches or the Montgomery United Methodist Church; 22548 TX-105, Montgomery, Texas 77356.
