Bobby G. Austin, a devoted husband and respected member of the community, passed away peacefully at his home in Paducah, KY, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the age of 88. Bobby was born on December 17, 1936, in Paducah, the son of the late Eugene and Margaret Austin. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ in Metropolis, IL.
Bobby had a distinguished career as a retired Brick Mason, and he took great pride in his work. He was a dedicated member of the International Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local #4 of IN/KY, where his skills and dedication were recognized and appreciated by his peers. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Bobby honorably served his country as a proud Army Veteran. His service not only shaped his character but also instilled a deep sense of duty and loyalty that he carried throughout his life.
Bobby is survived by many friends who loved and respected him; however, he reunites with his beloved wife, Ida Mae Howard Austin, who predeceased him, along with his parents and one brother, Jerry Ray Austin.
A graveside service will be held in memory of Bobby at Clarks River Cemetery in Symsonia, KY, on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM, with Bro. Charlie Kilpatrick officiating.
