;'I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.' 2 Timothy 4:7Bobby Wayne Broussard, 67, a native of New Iberia, Louisiana, went home to be with the Lord on May 29, 2012 at his residence surrounded by loved ones. ; He was a devoted husband, father, and brother in Christ. ; He was loved and respected by everyone who met him.He is survived by the love of his life, Beverly Boutte Broussard, wife of 46 years; son Barry Broussard (wife Natalie) and daughter Brandi Broussard both of New Iberia, Louisiana and daughter Becky Thibodeaux (husband Jamie) of Spring, Texas; 9 grandchildren: ; Rebecca Owens, Riley, Blade, Sarah, Claire, MaKenna and Lanie Broussard, Micah and Tyler Thibodeaux; ; 1 great grandchild, Reagan Owens; mother, Gurness Viator Broussard, brother, Chris Broussard; and his beloved pets Dottie and Scooter.He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Broussard; son, Bobby Lane Broussard; and granddaughter, MaryEllen Broussard.Bobby worked for Red Fox for 25 years and retired from the Iberia Parish Sheriffs Office in 2010. ; He was best known for his love for Christ. ; He served as an ordained deacon at WestSide Baptist Church, taught the Young Adults Sunday School class, and was a member of the choir and interim preacher for many years.Visitation will begin at 9:00 am at WestSide Baptist Church until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. on June 2, 2012. ; In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial to WestSide Baptist Church, P.O.
