Bobby Joe Clay, 91, Forsyth, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, with his family at his side. Bobby moved to Forsyth from Walled Lake, Michigan, after his retirement from Ford Motor Company where he was an assistant office manager.

Bobby Joe Clay was born May 15, 1934, in Obion, Tennessee. He was the son of William and Lucy (Guynn) Clay. He grew up in Union City, Tennessee. area where he graduated high school. He served in the United States Navy and was very proud of his service. When he returned from the service he married Shirley Richmond, and they were blessed with two sons. Shirley passed away June 14, 2013. He married Denise Holden Anderson on March 26, 2016 at Taneyville, Missouri. They had celebrated nine wonderful years together.

He attended the Forsyth Church of Christ and was a member of the Masons and Shriners. Bobby enjoyed the outdoors and taking care of his yard. He liked to fish and travel. He would just wake up of a day and decide they needed to go somewhere and off they would go.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Shirley, siblings Earnest Wayne, James Marshall, and Dorothy Sue.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife Denise, of the home, sons Barry Clay of Michigan, Bruce Clay of Virginia, Kelly Stepp of Branson, Cathy Klemetson and companion Sean Huset of Branson, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening July 30, 2025, from 5-6:30 PM, Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, Missouri.
